Grounds opening times:
Please note the site will be open from 10am every day - please allow time to walk from the entrance at the Visitor Centre (off the A1) if you are attending a session in the Kitchen or Tasting Theatre. We advise to allow up to 20 minutes to walk to the West Lawn where the Festival is located. Please allow up to 45 minutes prior to entering the admission area for Park and Ride time. If arriving just in time to do you Castle Tour first please allow 45 minutes from arriving at Hillsborough Castle and Gardens to pass through admissions and walk to the State Entrance for the start of your tour.

The £2.95 admin fee is charged per advance order, not related to the number of tickets purchased. Admin fees are not applicable to orders of only additional ‘add-ons’, such as theatre sessions added to your booking at a later date.
The admin fee contributes to the cost of delivering the tickets, whether it is through the post, electronically or collecting at the venue. The admin fee also contributes to other operational costs and overheads associated with ticket fulfilment e.g. ticket stock administration and inventory control, ticket stock/stationery, collection facilities and postage and/or packaging costs.
Children aged 0-5 are free every day. If a seat is required (paid sessions) then please purchase in advance. Children aged 6-15 are charged at the child rate (£6.90 for Festival + Gardens). Please click here for all ticket prices.
Under 18s are admitted to the Festival, accompanied by an adult. In accordance with the law, visitors aged under 18 are not permitted to purchase/sample alcoholic drink products or knives. It is the attending adult’s responsibility to ensure visitors aged under 18 are aware and comply with these laws for the duration of their visit to the Festival.
See chefs and experts cooking live on stage in The Kitchen. Click here to see the timetable. Add on a ticket to see Nadiya Hussain on Friday 5 July for £4 in advance. All other sessions are free, available on a first come, first served basis.
Reserved seating for in The Kitchen is available for disabled visitors or visitors with special requirements. For Nadiya Hussain’s sessions on Friday 5 July, visitors should book these theatre seats by calling the Box Office to ensure the best possible seating arrangements. Please call the Box Office and explain you require disabled or special assistance seating and they will be able to ensure this is arranged. The Ticket Factory can be contacted on 0800 640 5001 - lines are open from 9am to 7pm Monday - Friday & 9am to 5pm weekends & Bank Holidays.
For all free sessions please speak to The Kitchen hosts on the day who will allocate you the best possible seating and special assistance.
Any visitor who is registered disabled is able to claim a free ticket for a carer to accompany them to the Festival. If you call the Box Office on 0800 640 5001, this can be arranged for you. Unfortunately you are unable to do this online.
If you selected a print at home ticket you should receive these by email straight away. If you opt for tickets to be sent by post, they should arrive no later than 2 weeks before the Festival. If you book within 1 week of the Festival, you must select Print at Home tickets.

School groups are not permitted at the Festival, on any day. Please note, if group tickets are purchased for a school they will be turned away on arrival at the Festival.
Yes. Tickets are available on the door, but do cost more than advance tickets. To avoid disappointment and to get the best choice of seats in The Kitchen, book in advance before 5 July – and it’s cheaper! Kitchen seats are subject to availability on the day.
There are no cash machines on site, so be sure to bring enough cash with you as not all producers will accept card.
Please be advised, due to the natural terrain of the gardens, some of the paths are unsuitable for wheelchair users and those with restricted mobility.
The castle have a number of wheelchairs available to borrow these cannot be pre booked but will be made available on a first come first serve basis. Please contact them on +44 (0)28 9268 1376 to book in advance.
Unfortunately, due to the conservation risk posed to flooring, mobility scooters are not permitted inside the castle.

Showguides are available on the day and are free of charge. There will be a digital copy available on our website closer to the event.
There are no cloakroom facilities or space for left luggage at Hillsborough Castle and Gardens.
Unfortunately dogs are not permitted to the Festival, with the exception of Guide or Assistance Dogs. Please let us know in advance by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org if you wish to bring a guide dog with you so we can make sure your animal is catered for.
We highly advise you purchase your books onsite at the event to ensure they get signed.
Yes you can bring your own food and drink to the Festival, however there are many stalls and vendors we would love you to try instead!
